Excuse me if this in not the place to post this but I thought someone might be able to help me fill a position that we need.

My company, Credit Acceptance http://www.creditacceptance.com, has an opening for a contract to hire full time Agile Coach. We have been doing agile, SCRUM and XP, for a little over a year and have realized in order to gain the full benefits we will need a full time resource dedicated to the being the Agile evangelist/implementor. Job: Agile Coach

Purpose
This role will work with teams and projects across IT to drive adoption and excellence in the use of Agile practices that will increase IT’s ability to deliver quality initiatives to our business partners which will allow them to increase efficiency and profitability. The Agile coach will meet this goal by providing thought leadership in Agile practices, coaching, mentoring, and performing a variety of tasks including oversight of the project management methodology (SCRUM) and the development methodology (XP and Lean Software Development).

Responsibilities
Using Agile techniques, the Agile Coach:
• Documents SCRUM and XP processes and best practices
• Participates in project day-to-day activities and provides coaching and mentoring for improvement
• Participates in project kick offs and retrospectives
• Documents lessons learned and ensures that the solutions are implemented
• Provides one on one mentoring to Developers, Scrum Masters, QA testers
• Provides education on Agile (SCRUM – Release Planning, Iteration Planning, Daily Stand Ups, Demos, Retrospectives, etc.) and XP practices (Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, UI Testing, Lean Software Development, etc.)
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and suggest solutions

• Communication – Communicates effectively across organization with some direction from management; Excellent presentation and one-on-one skills; Demonstrates active listening; Strong teaching and convincing skills; Ability to communicate up an down the management chain
• Organizational Skills – Manages the Agile initiative implementation across IT; Effectively coordinates their activities with management and project teams; Manages the their own schedule of meetings and tasks with little management direction
• Leadership – Pilots new concepts / technology and methodologies with some direction; Reports on health of Agile and SCRUM across the organization and team-by-team; Mentors Project Leaders, Developers, and QA Specialists; Demonstrates Adaptability; Effectively implements their plan by influencing other leaders
• Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves issues; Identifies risks and probability of impact with some direction; Leads / facilitates project team in approach / methodology to identify issues, identify solutions, recommend resolution and see it implemented with some direction; Proactively identifies process issues and works at closing them
• Tools – Has knowledge of SCRUM and XP tools
• Knowledge – In depth knowledge of SCRUM and XP methodologies; Experience mentoring and coaching others; Experience in running small and large projects; Demonstrated ability to influence others to accomplish their goals; Knows when and how to apply specific methodologies.

Typical Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years of IT experience
• Agile or XP Certifications (e.g. Scrum Certified Coach / Trainer, XP certifications )
